We had previously visited this shop a few years ago when it was a branch of George’s Tradition. One of us recalled it being conveniently open on Sundays when they had revisited on days they weren’t reviewing.
We have always found George’s to be fairly consistent and worth return visits. A few branches have changed to the Sea & Earth moniker. We had been meaning to head to the Nottingham shop for ages but then decided to go to Loughborough.
And what a good choice. The fish was cooked to order with the lightest batter. You could see the fish through it. This is how batter should be. Not so thick you could lag pipes with it.
The chips were perfect with that fluffy inner and the Irish style curry sauce perfect for dipping or pouring onto chips. Delicious. Cooked to order and served with a smile.
