We recommend this chippy very highly. If you find yourself hungry in Bedford, go here for your fish 'n' chips.
One of the Chip Fiends called on a Saturday lunch time. The owner was waxing lyrical about how great the haddock was. He said the fish was from a supplier in Dunstable but its provenance was Grimsby. Of course! He said it was such good quality he was going to have one himself.
I must add to this that it was also fried to perfection. A thin, crispy batter encasing pure white tender flakes. The chips were the potato equivalent of the fish. The outside was a very thin crisp of potato and the inside fluffy and light as a cloud.
The curry was good because it was mixed thick and clung to the chips. It was also served in a pot which made it better for dipping. However a better style such as Irish or Chinese would have been preferable.
I had walked to the nearby Russell Park to eat and all the boxed food was still piping hot when I tucked in.Lovely.Ratings out of 5:Fish (haddock): 5Chips: 5Curry sauce: 4Shop / service: 5Over all: 5
