This was a pleasant surprise. One is always a little apprehensive about ordering fish and chips from a shop that also does burgers and kebabs but these were very good.
I went on a Wednesday teatime. It was busy, a very good sign. The fish was cooked to order and the chips were freshly fried also. After a wait of ten minutes I unwrapped my picnic in Stokeswood Park.
The chips were firm with straight edges, seasoned to perfection and piping hot. The haddock had a light crisp batter and was delicious. The curry sauce was the standard type but was good and thick.
