“Cash or card, I don’t mind. As long as you pay the bill it doesn’t matter to me” said the friendly chap as he handed over my mini fish special.
I was at St John’s Fish Bar in Warwick. Such was the friendliness I thought I was in Sheffield.
The shop is conveniently situated between the railway station and the town, so I didn’t have to divert before wandering further.
The meal was just what I needed. A satisfying small fillet of cod in crispy batter, some medium chunky chips and a decent thick curry sauce.
After filling my face I was ready for a stroll around Hill Close Gardens and a visit to the Old Post Office.
