Disappointing batter is spongy. It’s a county delicacy is spongy batter. It’s like eating an Arctic Roll in the 80s except it’s hot and the contents weren’t ice cream today, it was haddock.
The haddock was nice enough. I ate some of the sponge to see what it tasted like. It actually tasted quite nice but I knew if I ate it, it would sit in my stomach for hours, so I peeled it away from the fish.
The chips were nice and thick and very tasty. It was a massive portion that would have fed two people. Just a shame about the batter.
