Friday night and a long queue was a pleasing sight to behold. Orders varying from just chips to pies and chips, sausage and chips and fish and chips.
On this visit there were four of us Chip Fiends. Fiend number one ordered mini fish, chips and a pineapple fritter. Fiend number two ordered mini fish, chips and mushy peas. Fiend number three ordered a chips and mushy peas mix. Fiend number four ordered chips and a vegetable spring roll.
The staff wore a uniform of the chip shops moniker on polo shirts and were helpful in making the queue move along swiftly.
The chips were very good indeed. Crisp outside and soft inside. Ultra piping hot! Just how chips should be. Fiend number two said the food was melting their plastic fork.
The spring roll got a thumbs up, as did the mushy peas. The juicy pineapple fritter was wrapped separately so was shared as a dessert after the main meal was devoured.
