We know what we’re getting at George’s. This Chip Fiend was in Ilkeston one Thursday during new potato season. We thought we’d give George’s a whirl to see how they cooked them.
They were delicious. George’s had not over cooked the chips and had left them soft. The lashings of salt and vinegar I applied helped, of course but I was impressed.
The fish was as delicious as previous visits to other George’s. A very light, crisp batter on tasty, flaky and firm cod.
Excellent.
