The Supper Spot, Sheffield

“You’ll need a lie down after that” said the woman behind the counter about the enormous Yorkshire fish cake. She wasn’t wrong. It was like eating a ball of cement.

The Supper Spot is a cool looking old fashioned tiny place. The kind of traditional looking shop we love. It was very reasonably priced, as most chippies in this city are.

Anyway the cement ball wasn’t that great, so I decided to return on another date and try the fish.

Some months later, the shop looked the same and had changed ownership. The indigestible fish cakes were gone.

I tried mini fish, chips and peas. Service was pleasant and I was told the fish was cooked to order. It came in an odd horseshoe shape but was nice enough. The chips were medium cut and the peas were very nice.
