Mill Road Chippy, Kettering

A bit of a stroll out of town to find this wonderful looking chip shop. It seemed little more than a hut, a tiny place, on the end of a residential street. Giving it some thought I recalled seeing more of these kind of chip shops many years ago but they’re definitely becoming less and less. 

Service was prompt and friendly and I was soon happily filling my face with a tray of fish, chips and curry sauce. 

The small cod was just the right size for lunch, with thick flakes inside a decent batter. The chips were chunky and went well with the thick curry sauce. 

Everything on the tray was devoured.
