One of our friends told us that the best chips and gravy he’s ever tasted are at “that chip shop just down from Nottingham station”. Carringtons.
This Chip Fiend was in Nottingham so decided to make a visit to try them.
I arrived just in time to put my order in before a large group entered. Many of them also ordering chips and gravy.
This mix came to £2.75.
It was very good indeed, particularly as the chips were super fresh; crispy outside and floury inside.
The gravy kept them hotter for longer and seeped down to create a lake underneath. A very nice alternative to our favoured mushy peas.
