We visited one evening for a car picnic.
It was midweek and the chippy was busy with a steady stream of customers and had several staff working.
It’s smart looking place with a large space for queuing. We can imagine how busy it gets on a Friday evening. We were served promptly and fish was being fried in anticipation of customers.
One of us ordered mini fish and chips, the other ordered regular which could be described as whale sized. A pot of mushy peas was to be shared. We weren’t in the shop for long, such was the efficiency of the team.
The car windows soon became steamed up from the piping hot food.
The chips were medium thick and very good. Both fish were very good too. Fresh tasting with a good batter. That wale sized portion certainly was good value for money!
The mushy peas were also tasty. We ate them so quickly we had to take a photo of the empty pot.
