I’ll keep this short and to the point. They refried chips left over from lunchtime. It was obvious.
There was a sign above the counter that stated the cod, haddock, roe, etc was freshly cooked. Not quite so this Saturday at 5pm. There was an abundance of fish already in the heated display. They didn’t have any medium cod ready cooked, so I ordered that.
The cod had a fishy smell, the batter was on the soggy side. The curry sauce was good and thick.
It’s a nice looking shop but probably best to arrive on a busy Friday evening when you stand a chance of getting something fresh instead of brown, greasy chips.
