This is a small chip shop on Cardigan Road in a residential area of the city. The aroma of the chips cooking was inviting as we approached.
We decided on fish and chips at £4.50 as soon as we stepped inside. We were told the fish would be cooked to order, so took a seat in the window.
The chips were cut quite thin, so were a tad on the greasy side. The fish was very nice, with a good crispy light batter that had produced a pile of scraps in the heated display for serving. We weren’t offered scraps as another customer served after us was.
A good little backstreet chippy.
