Antonio's, Long Eaton, Derbyshire

Another chip shop in this town of chip shops. Have we been to all of them yet?

This shop can be found on a road where the town centre begins to meet a residential area. We popped in one Saturday lunchtime. One of us fancied fish and chips, another roe and chips and the third mushy peas and chips.

Both the roe and the fish were cooked to order, which we were very pleased about. Fresh is best.

The chips here looked great as they were served up. Medium thick and golden yellow.
They tasted good too.

The fish looked magnificent. Thin crispy batter on pure white flakes of haddock.

The disc shaped roe was melt in the mouth yum.

The mushy peas were undyed and made a lovely mix spread over the chips.
We sat on a bench on High Street and filled our faces.
