Man Fryday, Sheffield

We stood outside under a bus shelter eating our mini special, surrounded by other vertical diners. It was a busy Saturday lunchtime as a football match was due to start in the stadium across the road.

The shop was ready for lots of customers; the display unit had a mountain of battered sausages stacked up and a fryer was busy cooking mini portions of fish. The battered sausages were very popular.

The mini fish special (with chips and mushy peas) was excellent value at £3.80. Just the right amount of medium cut chips and a dollop of very good peas.
The batter was a little on the thick side but the fish inside was fresh and cooked perfectly.
