This chip shop opened in December 2016. A house was demolished and the chippy was soon built on the spot.
The premises are big enough for a long counter and some tables and chairs at one end.

The Chip Fiends visited one busy Friday evening. Many customers were choosing to eat in, so the tables were soon occupied.

We ordered at the counter and one of the staff brought our food over in boxes.
One of us had ordered haddock, chips and curry sauce. The other ordered mini cod, chips and mushy peas.

The fish was very fresh tasting and the batter very crisp and light. The chips were medium thick and cut in all shapes. One of us commented on this as something they enjoyed.

The mushy peas were very nice. Full of flavour and un-dyed. The curry sauce was pretty standard but had a good consistency.

After filling our faces we decided to order a coffee. It's worth noting the shop sells flapjack and cake for those that might prefer this with their coffee or as a dessert.

All the staff were very attentive and polite. It really made a good impression.
