We came to this chippy to try the famous paneer tikka naan.

It's an unusual looking chip shop on the inside; one side has fixed cafe style seating and the other has a grubby looking sofa and chairs for punters to sit on as their food is cooked to order. Almost every available wall space is covered in Pukka Pies posters.

One Chip Fiend ordered chips and curry sauce, the other ordered a paneer tikka naan and a potato fritter.

The potato fritters here are humongous. It's practically a third of a potato. They're cut very thick and coated in a very crisp batter. We couldn't come here without trying one. Much like the woman that also came to the shop to get a takeaway, made her order then seemed to spot the amazing fritters and added one to her supper.

Talking of humongous, when the paneer tikka naan was presented we were a little gob-smacked. If this was small, one can only imagine how big the large one is. It came with lots of chilli sauce and raita, salad, a wedge of lemon and a pickled chilli pepper. It could have easily fed two. The paneer in tikka sauce (with green capsicum and onion) was excellent, as was the naan bread.

The chips were very good. Nice and chunky with a good bite. The curry sauce was rather too runny for our liking.
