We'd much rather point out the good chippies.
The Chip Fiends just wanted to share these photographs of some of the worst fish and chips we have ever attempted to eat. Quite what was going on here, we're not sure.
The chips were cut too thin and were utterly soggy with grease. The batter was a complete disgrace; some of it was over half an inch thick, spongy in texture and mostly undercooked. Some of the batter was actually raw.
The whole carelessness did leave a nasty taste in the mouth.
If anyone can recommend a good chip shop in Manchester can they let us know. We're still looking.
Only been to one chippy over there. It was a chippy cum cafe close to Picadilly Gardens. I wonder if this was it, because it was truly dreadful. Dead grumpy service too, adding insult to gastro-injury.
