BJ's is a smart corner chippy in the quaint Main Street of Burton Joyce. On our visit we were visiting a local resident, so had our order wrapped for a garden meal accompanied by prosecco.
We plumped for a selection of mini fish with chips, chips and mushy peas, and mini fish with a boxed salad.
When we visited, BJ's were frying new potatoes. Our friend pointed out that chips don't crisp up on the outside when new potatoes are used. Nevertheless they proved to taste rather good.
Service was warm and efficient, so one of the chip fiends fed the tip box on the counter. Prosecco goes very well with fish and chips, and what could be better than eating our favourite food outdoors on a balmy evening?
