We'd heard about a good chippy in Coventry called City Chippy. When the Chip Fiends visited the premises were renamed Chip Stop.

A takeaway of fish and chips was purchased but there are tables for eating in if you prefer.

The fish looked nice after unwrapping, however it had been standing for a while.
The batter was quite soggy and the texture of the (skinless) fish had become a little waxy.

There was an abundance of long pale chips. Nice. Another minute in the fryer would have improved them somewhat.
