Just across the road from Matlock Bath station in Derbyshire stands Tucker's.
Tucker's has lots of seating to eat in but the Chip Fiends decided to takeaway on this visit.
The only fish on the menu was cod, so cod and chips it was!
Service was efficient and polite. Cod, chips and mushy peas came to £6.45.
The fish was served skinless in a very light tempura style batter. One Chip Fiend's fish was better than the other's who found theirs to have a quite soggy batter which they left a lot of.
The chips were chunky and very potatoey in flavour; very satisfying. The peas were thick, the curry sauce very runny.
