Carrington's Traditional Fish and Chips

If you've read our previous diary entries you may remember that we have remarked upon the convenience of chip shops near to railway stations.

Such is the case with Carrington's at Nottingham. A stone's throw away from the train station, Carrington's is a dependable chippy that looks very smart after it's refurbishment a couple of years ago.

The chippy is good VFM and has a few bar stools inside if you want to eat your meal under cover at no extra charge.

You will find that the fish is usually fried in anticipation of the passers-by between the railway station and Nottingham city centre, whereas the chips (medium chunky) are fresher with a proper potatoey flavour and bite.

The mushy peas are good and flavoursome, and customers are offered napkins. A nice touch.

Carrington's serve good fish and chips in clean premises for hungry folk on the hoof.
