Jenny's Fish and Chips, York

A trip to York wouldn't be complete without going to Jenny's on Lawrence Street.
Two hungry travellers made their way along Fossgate, Walmgate and spotted the brightly lit interior of the chippy just outside the city walls.

Chip Fiend and Dining Companion both decided on haddock, chips and mushy peas. The chips were medium cut and freshly cooked, steaming and golden in colour.
The haddock was cooked (skinless) to order in a very fine, crisp orange batter.
Mushy peas were served in a separate pot.

Chip Fiend smothered their meal in salt and vinegar whilst Dining Companion left theirs condiment free; the first time a Chip Fiend has ever seen someone eat fish and chips in this way.

There is space reserved for eating in at no extra charge so eat in was what they did. Both diners looked at each other and confirmed that the food was "really good".
