The Chip Fiends had been to the Sea Shell of Lisson Grove before and were looking forward to a return.
An impressive takeaway menu boasts such seafood as Rock Salmon, home made fishcakes, calamari, popcorn cod, lemon sole goujons... The list almost seems endless.
This Chip Fiend decided upon small cod fillet and chips at £6.90, in a box with a wedge of lemon.
A generous sized portion of chips was served and they were very good, crispy outside and fluffy on the inside. The fish was decent and fresh, white and succulent.
Disappointingly, the batter was as soggy as a wet dishcloth.
The shop is very popular and was quite busy on this visit, several customers were buying popcorn cod and sitting at the tables outside. A sign outside the pub across the road invites customers to eat their chips there.
