The Chain Pub Controversy

A Chip Fiend was wandering through Shepherd's Bush. They needed food but struggled to find a chip shop.
It was December and it was raining. They wanted hot food.

Remembering the Wetherspoon's passed earlier, the Chip Fiend turned around and headed back as they'd heard about their Fish and Chips deal on a Friday.

£6.09 for fish, chips and peas plus a pint of ale.
The portion of cod was just right for lunch and cooked in a light crispy batter. The pint of Adnams IPA with its punchy, citrus hops was a perfect accompaniment.
The mushy peas and frozen chips were less exciting, but did what a plate of carbohydrates are required to do.

The Chip Fiend's belly was full and the rain had now stopped.
