The Font is a pub close to Demontfort University in Leicester serving reasonably priced delicious food as well as some tasty beers and cocktails.
On Mondays it's Fish and Chips night. £5 for fish, chips and mushy peas plus a soft drink.
We had to check it out.
The fish has a light, crispy tempura style batter which is made with Vedett beer.
The real chips are cut almost in a French Fries style and are already seasoned. The meal comes with a wedge of lemon and a small tub of tartare sauce. Ketchup, mayonnaise and vinegar are also offered.
This Chip Fiend didn't much care for the mushy peas but the fish and chips are superb and excellent value for money.
