Sheffield is well known for its pubs. There are also lots of great places to eat. Sometimes you just want a takeaway and this part of West Street has several.
The Chip Fiends were pleased when a new Chip Shop opened on Fitzwilliam Street a few years ago.

Betty's Traditional Fish and Chips serves thick cut, rustic looking chips. Almost like a cross between chips and wedges.
A regular portion will set you back £1.70, but this will be a veritable pyramid of carbohydrate on your tray with the option of added scraps (batter bits).

Delicious.
If you prefer a mini meal there are several offers on combos such as the Mini Fish Special.
Mini fish, sausage, chips with peas, beans, curry or gravy is £3.75.
Cod, chips, peas, breadcake and a can is £5.95.

The service here is friendly and efficient. There are a few bar stools at the back of the shop to eat in at no extra charge.
