There seems a different pace of life here in Leek to other parts of the country we’ve visited. So much so that it took twenty minutes to serve four people. And one of them had pre-ordered and just walked up for collection.
I queued outside surrounded by the aroma of manure. Thankfully it wasn’t coming from the chippy.
I went for the usual mini fish special. This time with curry sauce. The curry sauce was nice and thick and had a sweetness to it.
It was all quite decent but not blow your socks off amazing. The chips were nice, medium cut, crispy outside and fluffy inside. The batter looked more like a case but thankfully had some crispness to it. The fish inside was good.
