Stilton and Chips

 


The Cods Scallops have got a new novelty on their menu: Stilton cheesy chips with pickled walnut mayo. (No we are not making this up).





The flavour of the Stilton was enhanced once it was warmed by mixing it under the chips.




The pickled walnut mayo and the scraps helped improve the chips which I found to be overcooked, hard and translucent. I’m not entirely convinced that twice-frying is a good idea when the chips turn out like this.




However, the mayo was seriously good. I’d definitely recommend trying that out.
