Years ago this went by the name of Wards and was a very popular chip shop. Judging by the queue on this visit it’s still doing very well.
There were plenty of staff serving so we didn’t have to wait long. One of us had a large fish and chips and the other had mini fish, chips and mushy peas. We sat and had a car picnic in the car park across the road.
It was all rather tasty. We decided to go to Polly’s, the pub nearby, where a seemingly abandoned kitten we named Cedric was meowing loudly. If only I’d saved him some fish.
