Undoubtedly a sign of a good chippy is a queue at lunchtime. One expects a queue on a Friday evening but on two lunchtime visits to Wendy’s, customers were snaking out the door.
Efficient service meant the queue was fast moving.
I ordered the mini fish special but also noticed the Yorkshire fishcakes in the heated display. I decided to visit again to try these another day.
The meal was typical Sheffield; super value and delicious. Sheffield are so good at this. The whole lot was gobbled up with great relish. On the second visit it was eaten with relish again, Henderson’s Relish. The shop sell sachets of the Yorkshire sauce.
The fishcake was as good as the fish.
