Mother Hubbard’s or Papa Frites. You decide. I popped in here. Well, I say “in” but this is one of those places where the counter almost goes right up to an open shop, very much like Awesome Chips over the other end of town.
I spoke with the chap behind the counter who was fairly enthusiastic about their plans such as bhajis and spicy prawns.
This is when he told me he didn’t like chips. Hmm...
So to the chips. They didn’t have much flavour. Maybe I should have had a sauce mixed in. I had tartare sauce on top.
I had the fish bites to make it more of a fish and chip shop experience. There was something lacking in the food, even though they seem to have made an effort with the shop itself.
