Broomhead Fish and Chips, Crookes, Sheffield

This looked promising; one of those tiny local chippies you get in Sheffield. There was a lunchtime special that came in at £3.20. 

The fish was cooked to order. Lovely and fresh. Same can’t be said for the chips, which were of the the reheated variety. Why chip shops do this, I’ll never understand. Chuck away what you can’t sell. Even the satchet of Henderson’s Relish couldn’t rescue these brown wizened chips.
