The man outside the shop didn’t wash his hands, so we hoped he wasn’t sharing. He was a customer at The Ocean Fish Bar, Aylestone. Before he went in to buy his supper he relieved himself against a door of a closed shop a couple of doors away. We assumed he’d misread the To Let sign for Toilet.
It was a Saturday evening and the staff were busy frying fresh batches of chips. The Chip Fiends ordered cod and chips, cod chips and curry sauce and chips and mushy peas.
There was a short wait and we left with steaming hot suppers.
The chunky chips were super fresh tasting and delicious. Certainly some of the best we’ve ever had.
The fish was very good to. The mushy peas appeared to be dyed a dark green but tasted nice enough. The curry sauce was standard.
Very nice and a chippy we’d definitely return to.
