Trinity Fish and Chips, Uttoxeter

The people of Uttoxeter are spoilt for choice for good chip shops. We've been to three, and all were good.

Today it was Trinity. Tucked away in a small precinct between Waitrose and the town centre, it may be a little hard to find at first but there is a sign on a building nearby pointing the way.

There's seating for around twenty people and most of the tables became occupied on our visit, many by regulars, including one who said they couldn't visit the following week as they were going on holiday.

Our cod was cooked to order and served with chips and mushy peas. The plate was brought to the table with cutlery and paper napkins.

It looked good. There was a generous dollop of mushy peas on the plate. They had a very creamy texture. The chips were very good and piping hot.

The cod was portioned to a good size, with plenty of thick flakes coming apart demonstrating its freshness.
