The Spring Roll




We spotted a spring roll in a chippy recently, as one of the vegetarian options. It struck us that we used to see these in chip shops a lot in the 90s and last decade. It seems rare to spot them nowadays, so we decided to go for it.

We split the spring roll open and waited for it to cool a while as it was so hot it was almost impossible to touch. The thing was huge. We really enjoyed it.

The crunch of the outside and the crunch of the bean sprouts and other veg on the inside was a pleasure.

Absolutely delicious. Shame we don't see them around that much.
