Fish and Chip Flavoured Rock

Sticks of Rock are a popular confection when visiting the seaside. They sit alongside ice creams and candy floss as sweet treats that will tempt you on the promenade.

Perhaps you do not have a sweet tooth? Maybe your seaside snacks of choice are cockles and mussels, or prawns, whelks, and jellied eels? Then again, you might just prefer a bag of fish and chips...

How about trying a fish and chip flavoured stick of rock, then? The Chip Fiends found such a thing on a recent visit to the seaside. It is an unusual novelty, but that's about it. We took a bite but weren't keen. There was a faint stale flavour - a bit like nibbling on a piece of old batter, or a chip that has gone cold and chewy.

We suggest you stick to genuine fish and chips, and if you like rock as well, buy a sweet-flavoured one!
