Here's a shop that knows how to cook its fish and chips to perfection.
The Chip Fiends popped in one Saturday lunchtime and requested haddock and chips. As the fish was cooked to order we observed the staff methodically wrapping a large order (around ten parcels) of battered sausages and chips. Make no mistake, this Chippy is very popular.
Our food was placed into boxes and we added the salt and vinegar before finding a bench outside.
The batter was light and crisp and the fish (skin on) was fresh and fell apart in thick flakes.
The chips were cut thick, a pale golden colour with a crisp outside and fluffy inside. Recommended.
