Will's Plaice is a chippy that promises much. They've got a great menu and even make their own fish cakes and tartare sauce. The staff wear 'Will's Plaice' branded uniforms and service is friendly and efficient.
The piece of haddock I had from here was excellent, the peas very good and the homemade tartare sauce amongst the best this fiend had tasted.
However, the chips I ordered at the evening opening time of 5pm appeared to be the remains of the lunch trade. Dry, wrinkled, and with too many 'shards'. This was a pity as the rest of the meal was top notch.
