The Chip Shop, Norwich

Stafford Street is in a residential area just outside Norwich city centre. The Chip Shop is easy to spot from a distance with a blue awning and sign depicting a fish tossing a chip into its mouth.

The Chip Fiends popped in early one afternoon before it got busy and were greeted by three gentlemen.

The menu here lists traditional chip shop food along with some items not normally seen; pot of hummus, scotch egg and curry roll. They also sell pea fritters.

The fish fillets come in medium and large size. The Chip Fiends decided upon medium haddock, which was cooked to order.

The batter was just how we like it, light and very crisp. The haddock was fresh and moist, with a good flakiness to it.

The tasty chips were a rustic medium cut; some with traces of the potato skin and in different lengths. We'd recommend The Chip Shop to anyone visiting this fine city.
