There are several powdered curry sauce mixes available to buy. We may try some different ones, for now we just wanted to see if we could enjoy an authentic tasting chippy sauce at home with something off the shelf.
The method was simple; just add 280ml of boiling water and stir. Leave to stand for two minutes (to thicken) then serve. Extra water can be added if you prefer your sauce a little more runny.
We poured the thick sauce over a pile of chippy chips and devoured. Yep, it was chip shop curry sauce, for sure.
