Take-out Chips at Moulin Rouge, Nottingham

Two of the chip fiends found themselves in Nottingham at lunch time on a bright sunny day. It made sense to complete the holiday mood with a visit to Moulin Rouge for some take out chips...

The mini fish behind the counter looked fresh and appetising but we simply went for chips - this being a light lunchtime snack. One fiend had a regular portion (£1.60) whilst fiend no.2 asked for a 'cone' which ended up being a 'child's portion' in a smaller tray at £1.20. A bargain meal for two at £2.80.

The chips were of top-rate quality, as fiend no.2 commented: "a perfect level of cloud & crisp" - nice square edges but tender on the inside. So fresh!

The nearby Trinity Square has just been refurbished (yet again) and the bonus is that there is lots more outdoor seating for people to sit and each their Moulin Rouge takeaways which can't be bad.
