This fiend has fond memories of stopping off in Uppingham and eating fish and chips from the Silver Fish Bar. It was a Friday evening and the shop was frying a seemingly endless supply of fish for the hungry queue.
A return visit was well overdue.
You can't miss the chippy, on North Street East, with its large bright sign.
Regular fish and chips is £6, the fish portion verging on whale size.
On this visit, the fish seemed a little waxy in texture and the thick batter was tough.
The chips were pleasantly chunky.

They offer Gluten-free fish for £4.80. Another item on the menu that caught these eyes was the Scampi Kebab at £4.60 and £6. Something that will have to be purchased on a future visit.
