It was a decent sized haddock at the Big Fish in Beeston. We went for a chippy tea on a Saturday, not long after it opened at 5pm.
There were some fish already in the heated display, so we thought it was a good thing we arrived when we did. We don't like fish that's been standing long after being cooked, no one does. We guess that if we'd wanted cod it would have been cooked to order, as it was all haddock that was ready.
The chips were medium thick and cut quite flat. The batter on the haddock (skin on) was light and crisp and quite orange in colour. Not a bad nosh.
