Fish Plus, Rugby

As you approach Fish Plus heading south out of Rugby, you might be forgiven for thinking it’s a pharmacy due to the large green + on the sign.

Service was prompt on this Friday lunchtime visit, I barely had time to glance at the menu before a member of staff asked what I wanted. My darting eyes spotted a mini fish, chips and side deal for less than £5.00 so I went with that.

The portion certainly was good value for money; a large scoop of chips with a decent sized piece of cod and dollop of mush.

The peas were quite vivid in colour but tasted nice with salt and vinegar. The chips are cut thin here so were a bit soft. They were nice enough, though. The fish was nice and fresh. The batter wasn’t exactly thin and crispy but it was good and had a nice flavour to it.

The whole meal was devoured, batter and all.
