The potato fritters here are very popular. Whilst the Chip Fiends waited for their fish to be cooked, a group of four adults came in and each ordered a stack of fritters in trays. We wished we'd bought some, as we'd already commented on them looking good. It's worth noting they were square shaped instead of the usual round.

We had each ordered a fish special. Fish, chips with peas for one and t'other had curry sauce.

We found somewhere outside to lean whilst we chomped. We looked at the row of shops which opened at the end of 2013 in place of a pub that had stood here derelict for a number of years.

The food was good. Medium thick chips, and a lot of them. It was a generous amount of food for £4.00. The fish (skinless cod) was a good size, and cut chunky.

The peas were fine, if a little bright green and the curry sauce was standard with a nice thick consistency.
