In Loughborough one Saturday lunchtime, one of the Chip Fiends came across Donelli's. A new chippy on Market Street.
Donelli's is a smartly presented place with a cafe to the left and takeaway counter to the right.

I went for a suitable lunchtime snack of mini fish and chips for £3.10. The chips were very tasty, fried to an appetising rich golden colour. The fish (served broken in half) had an attractive spiky batter and it too tasted rather good.

Loughborough town centre also has two gelato parlours and with this Italian-run chip shop you can pretend you're in Naples for lunch. See Loughborough ... and die.
